About the role
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Home Health provides personalized care to help patients regain mobility and independence. Supported by clear processes and a collaborative team, the PTA delivers therapeutic exercises, applies physical therapy modalities, monitors patient progress, and educates patients and families on device use and home exercises.
Responsibilities
- Perform therapeutic exercises and functional training
- Apply physical therapy techniques to reduce pain and restore function
- Monitor and document patient responses
- Educate on assistive devices and home programs
- Collaborate with care team members to enhance patient outcomes
Qualifications and Skills
Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA), associate degree, valid driver license. No prior experience required.
