Role Overview

The Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant provides treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to enhance patient well-being, following a supervised plan of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to state laws and only perform procedures within training and supervision by a licensed PT.
• Instruct patients in exercises, gait, ADLs, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy activities within scope.
• Work effectively in diverse home environments, regardless of patient background.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current licensure or certification to practice physical therapy assistance in the relevant state.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to transportation.
• Availability for weekend rotations.
• Preferred: CPR certification and ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and assisting with mobility.
