About the Role
A Physical Therapy Assistant provides skilled education, treatment, and interventions under a physician's plan of care in home health settings. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, they communicate updates to optimize patient well-being.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct physical therapy services per therapist and physician instructions.
- Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, safety, and device use.
- Monitor and report patient condition changes to supervisors and physicians.
- Assist in pain relief, functional development, and rehabilitation.
- Coordinate discharge planning and provide follow-up instructions.
- Participate in in-service programs and adhere to professional standards.
- Maintain confidentiality, accurate documentation, and timely reporting.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current, unrestricted state license and CPR certification.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and professional conduct.
