Physical Therapist Assistant - Full-Time

About the Role

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education in home health settings to improve patient well-being, following a plan of care under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to state laws and supervise treatment plans defined by a licensed Physical Therapist
• Instruct patients in exercises, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training
• Monitor, document, and report patient responses and condition changes
• Educate patients, families, and healthcare team members on therapy activities
• Deliver patient-centered care and coordinate with the healthcare team
• Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to legal and safety standards

Requirements

• Licensed or certified to practice physical therapy assistance in the state
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license, dependable vehicle or transportation
• Ability to work with diverse patient populations and perform physical tasks like lifting and transferring
• Availability for weekend rotations
