About the Role

This role offers flexible start times and the opportunity to provide high-level acute care by treating ECMO, VAD, Transplant, and Level I multi-trauma patients. Responsibilities

  • Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
  • Plans or assists with patient discharge from therapy services.
  • Supervises activities of physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel.
  • Designs and implements a plan of care appropriate to issues identified, required frequency of treatments, and involves the patient and family.
  • Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress.
  • Provides information regarding appropriate selection and use of adaptive equipment and support resources.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program (Required).
  • BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) – American Heart Association (Required).
  • Physical Therapist License (PT LICENSE) – State of Florida (Required).

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. No prior work experience is required.
