About the role

The Memorial Rehabilitation Institute provides specialized care for complex conditions such as multiple trauma, stroke, and brain injury. Services include inpatient care at Memorial Regional Hospital South, outpatient care in multiple locations, home health services, and therapy for pediatric developmental diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patient populations for physical therapy needs.
• Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress.
• Provides information regarding appropriate selection and use of adaptive equipment and support resources.
• Supervises activities of physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel.
• Plans or assists with patient discharge from therapy services.
• Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
• Designs and implements a plan of care appropriate to issues identified, required frequency of treatments, and involving the patient and family.

• Accredited Program: Physical Therapy (Required)
• BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
