About the role
The Memorial Rehabilitation Institute provides specialized care for complex conditions such as multiple trauma, stroke, and brain injury, along with physical and speech therapy. Services are provided at Memorial Regional Hospital South, outpatient locations, Memorial Manor, and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates and treats patient populations for physical therapy needs.
- Plans or assists with patient discharge from therapy services.
- Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress.
- Provides information regarding appropriate selection and use of adaptive equipment and support resources.
- Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
- Supervises activities of physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel.
- Designs and implements a plan of care appropriate to issues identified, required frequency of treatments, and involving the patient and family.

- Accredited Program: Physical Therapy (Required)
