Physical Therapist - Acute Care, FT Days ($12k Sign On Bonus!)

About the role

Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral and standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision of patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians, and general supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy, or Doctorate of Physical Therapy
• Current or temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice
• BLS certification (must be current before assigned to care for patients independently)

Preferred Experience

• Six months to one year of experience as a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist
• Experience with care for adult and geriatric patients

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
• Prolonged standing and walking during each shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
