Physical Therapist ($10,000 sign on bonus)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Affirms patient condition and establishes goals, treatments, and care plans in collaboration with the physician and patient/family.
• Safeguards appropriate treatment through interdisciplinary consultation with physicians, considering physical therapy impacts on patient health.
• Documents findings, treatments, and other patient information in the medical record.
• Trains patient/family on proper care and use of therapies/exercises.
• Serves as a source of information and education for patients, families, and staff.
• Supervises Physical Therapy Assistants and Technicians.
• Functions as a resource to Physical Therapy staff.
• Provides ongoing education to the Physical Therapy staff.
• Assists the director with patient care issues.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree and current physical therapist certification.
• Two years of experience in an outpatient physical therapy clinic, with orthopedics experience preferred.

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE

• Understanding of physical therapy principles, standards, and applications.
• Knowledge of clinic policies, procedures, regulations, safety/infection control, quality control.
• Proficiency in using physical therapy equipment.
• Comprehension of medical terminology.
• Ability to evaluate and treat patients effectively.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Computer proficiency to accurately document patient information using EMR.
• Recognition and management of patient/clinic risks and fall hazards.

ABILITIES

• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, providers, and staff.
• Supervising and mentoring physical therapy staff.
• Clear communication skills.
• Resourcefulness to patients and staff.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Normal office environment with occasional bending, stretching, and manual dexterity.
• Occasional support for transferring patients of various sizes.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Occasional kneeling, squatting, and overhead lifting.

PAY

$10,000 sign-on bonus for full-time positions.
