About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Physical Security professional to lead site security operations (e.g., access control, video management, visitor management, badging operations, incident & emergency response) and security personnel at our office based in Seattle, WA. This role will report to the Head of Physical Security and manage Physical Security operations, programs, and personnel across a large geographic area encompassing multiple states, cities, and/or sites.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Security teams, projects, and policies & procedures to deliver excellent results and respond to exigent matters in a timely manner.
  • Manage the local security environment, including establishing mutual aid, building rapport with local first responders and law enforcement, managing incidents, and identifying and solving for security gaps.
  • Design, fulfill, and lead the scheduling and management requirements for Physical Security Operations (and possibly Command Center operations), including standard deployment, special events, reception services, and emergency response.
  • Act as the lead point-of-contact for all Physical Security, crisis management, and incident reporting at your assigned site, maintaining strong liaison relationships with local first responders and all levels of law enforcement.
  • Resolve daily/usual and acute/unusual incidents with a focus on high customer service, including management and incident response, training, crisis preparation, table-top exercising, and real-world execution of Emergency Response Plans.
  • Plan and lead Physical Security onboarding and training for all Security personnel at your assigned site.
  • Build partnerships with internal (e.g., Admin, Real Estate & Facilities, IT) and external (e.g., mutual aid with co-tenants, local fire and police departments) stakeholders to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
  • Produce well-written reports and easy-to-follow metrics for Physical Security leadership and Executives.
  • Support Executive Protection events and activities as directed by management.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a security management role; 5+ years of experience in corporate security (as a contractor or full-time employee).
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, written, and presentation skills.
  • Current or previous guard license; executive protection certifications; or investigative certifications (a plus).
  • Proven track record handling acute incidents (e.g., major medicals, workplace violence, building evacuations).
  • Tactical and managerial experience with Physical Security systems and requirements, including access control systems, alarm monitoring, visitor management, badging operations, incident report-writing, policies, procedures, checklists, post orders, management of aggressive behavior, and basic patrol operations.
  • Experience building and leading training requirements, key performance indices, and drafting standard operating procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous military and/or law enforcement experience.
  • Proven track record overseeing and leading multiple projects.
  • Active AED/First Aid/CPR certification; instructor status; CPP certification (a plus).
  • Experience building and leading an SOC or Command Center to dovetail with field security operations.
  • Ability to travel to other offices, respond to emergencies after-hours, and work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as operational needs demand.
  • Experience in Executive Protection and operating Lenel and/or Avigilon systems (a plus).
  • Technical skills related to physical security systems integration and administration (e.g., PACS (Lenel), VMS (Avigilon), badging operations (HID smart credentials, badge printers, low/high frequency badge readers), visitor management, SOAR systems, emergency mass notification systems).

Pay

The base salary range for this position in Seattle, WA is $99,983 - $183,709 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the total package, which may include additional discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.
