Physical security- Console Operator (Edgewood, NY)
About the role
Maintains and services work facilities to ensure they meet the needs of the organization and its associates. Responsibilities include the design, planning, construction, safety, and maintenance of grounds and building infrastructure, as well as office management activities such as office space and furniture, central supply, mail, print services, maintenance, records, document production, cafeteria, and other associate services.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the physical security of the site, protecting assets and personnel.
- Monitor and control personnel access into the facility.
- Monitor and report event alarms triggered on the access control system and/or closed-circuit television (CCTV) system, ID/access badge issuance, physical security of the site, and the historical log book.
- Respond to, evaluate, and resolve any event alarms received at the console monitoring station.
- Conduct roving patrol inspections of Broadridge facilities, both external and internal, and notify the proper Broadridge authority of any issues, including procedural breaches in security policies.
- Keep the Security Management Team informed of all security matters and issues as they pertain to the site.
- Perform additional duties as directed by management, including travel and other related functions.
Requirements
- High School diploma is required.
- Minimum of three years of experience in the security field (Military and/or Law Enforcement experience or the recommendation of the hiring manager can substitute for "security field" experience).
- Ability to communicate orally in a clear and professional manner.
- Must be able to write in an effective, clear, and concise manner.
- Knowledge of filing and phone courtesy is required.
- Journeyman ability to use a personal computer, including an intermediary level of proficiency in: typing, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, and MS TEAMS.
- CPR qualification preferred.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including Saturday - Wednesday, 2 PM - 10 PM (shift subject to change based on coverage and department needs).
- Must be able to travel and perform other related duties as assigned.
Pay
The salary range for this position is between $17.00 - $18.00 hourly USD. Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate's final salary, including relevant experience, skills, and education.
