Responsibilities

  • Aid in financial requests, order processing, and purchasing
  • Answer telephone calls, address inquiries, and greet visitors
  • Create correspondence, including program reviews and accreditation materials
  • Maintain files, both electronic and hard copy, including student records
  • Coordinate events such as reservations, refreshments, and event materials (e.g., Pinning, Recognition Reception)
  • Support Human Resources paperwork as needed
  • Assist with grant support
  • Schedule appointments for office administrators
  • Coordinate faculty searches within these departments
  • Help with coordination of software platforms and associated data management, update web pages
  • Participate in significant campus activities like Welcome Weekend, True Blue Weekend, and Commencement Weekend
  • Comply with all applicable College, Federal, State, local, and association regulations
  • Act professionally at all times, both on and off campus
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and willingness to learn institutional systems (e.g., Brightspace, Slate, Banner)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Benefits

The wage range for this position is $20.00-$23.00 per hour.

About the Role

This position serves as the Administrative Coordinator for the Physical & Life Sciences and School of Nursing, providing essential administrative and programmatic support to the Office of Academic Affairs and the School of Nursing. The Coordinator ensures accurate student records, facilitates communication across the Division of Physical & Life Sciences, supports faculty, assists with academic scheduling, and coordinates nursing-specific events. Reporting directly to the Executive Assistant to the Vice President for Academic Affairs/Provost, the Coordinator works closely with the Department Chair for Nursing and the Division Chair for Physical and Life Sciences.

Requirements

Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required during peak times or major events. A valid driver’s license and insurability through the College are required.
