Phlebotomy Technician
About the role
Immediate hiring for a Phlebotomist position based in Glen Burnie, MD. This is a contract, fully onsite role.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood draws using straight needles and butterfly needles.
- Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
- Package specimens for transport and store them at required temperatures.
- Update patient information accurately.
- Answer telephone inquiries and read laboratory results.
Requirements
- 6+ months of experience working with pediatrics and geriatrics in a hospital, clinic, or lab (mandatory).
- Phlebotomy certification is preferred.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00 per hour. Individual compensation will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other job-related factors.
