Responsibilities
- Obtain quality blood samples using various phlebotomy methods for all age groups.
- Provide rapid response to medical emergencies such as traumas and codes.
- Work independently and as a team, fostering an inclusive work environment and respecting diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
- Interact with patients, nurses, providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Use a variety of computer programs and systems throughout the day.
- Accurately identify patients, label, handle, and transport specimens, answer phones, assist with student and new employee training.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid phlebotomy certification from an approved agency.
- Experience in a medical field is preferred.
- Moderate to advanced computer skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Good customer service skills.

Pay and Schedule
- Phlebotomist I: $20.00- $25.09 per hour.
- Phlebotomist II: $20.00 - $26.79 per hour.
Location
Mayo Clinic operates multiple locations across the United States, including Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona, Jacksonville, Florida, Rochester, Minnesota, and Mayo Clinic Health System campuses throughout Midwestern communities, and international locations.
