About the role

Manatee Memorial Hospital (MMH) in Bradenton, Florida, has been serving the community for over 70 years and is accredited by The Joint Commission. With over 800 physicians, residents, and allied health professionals, MMH offers a wide range of services including cardiac care, emergency care, surgery, weight-loss programs, orthopedic services, and more. The hospital also has a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and a pediatric therapy center.

Responsibilities

The Phlebotomist at Manatee Memorial Hospital is responsible for:

  • Safely and accurately collecting, labeling, and transporting patient specimens for inpatient and outpatient services.
  • Maintaining cooperative interactions with patients, families, medical staff, and hospital departments.
  • Supporting efficient laboratory workflows and upholding the hospital's mission and values.
  • Demonstrating Service Excellence at all times.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Completion of a Phlebotomy Training Program required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year phlebotomy experience preferred.
