About the role
The Patient Services Representative III-Floater (PSR III) represents the face of our company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions. The PSR III draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. The PSR III has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
Responsibilities
- Draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for lab testing.
- Follows established practices and procedures.
- Creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence with patients during procedures.
- Demonstrates leadership behaviors and focuses on process excellence.
- Maintains required records and documentation.
- Verifies patient demographic information and initials, including patient signatures post-venipuncture.
- Handles multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
- Communicates openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients.

Requirements
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric procedures.
- Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
- Commitment to all policies and procedures, including company dress code, employee health & safety, and Everyday Excellence Guiding Principles.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
- Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
- Demonstrate superior customer focus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification.
- Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Minimum two years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
Qualifications
- Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
- Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Monday-Friday 8a-5p, Rotational Saturdays 630a-1130a
