Phlebotomist Floater
About the role
The Patient Services Representative III-Floater (PSR III) supports a healthcare facility in Lincoln NE 68510. This position involves drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing specimens for lab testing.
Responsibilities
- Represent the company to patients, explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
- Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence with patients.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Verify patient demographic information and initials, including patient signatures post-venipuncture.
- Ensure required records and documentation are maintained.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors and focus on process excellence.
- Communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients.
- Handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
- Provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Have excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
- Be flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
- Make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
- Have reliable transportation, a valid driver license, and a clean driving record, if applicable.
- Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
- Have Superior Customer Focus.
Requirements
- Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

- Confidence in handling multiple tasks simultaneously.

Pay
$27/hr to $28/hr, based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.
Schedule
Days / CST 6:30am - 8:00pm availability, 8-10 hours shifts (M-F).
