About the role

As a Float Phlebotomist, you will travel to various sites in Elgin, TX, and surrounding cities, gaining diverse experience with different patients, team members, and clinics. This role provides variety and opportunities for skill development and career growth within the organization.

Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement.

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required.
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients.
  • Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
  • Travel to additional sites when needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience (or Phlebotomy certification/completed training program from an accredited agency in lieu of experience).
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation.
  • At least 21 years old.
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or 3+ years of experience as a phlebotomist.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (work hours will vary).
