About the role
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the company to patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner. The PSR I draws quality blood samples, prepares specimens for lab testing, and maintains a safe, professional environment under the direction of the area supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time.
- Draw blood samples from patients, including pediatric and geriatric, following established practices and procedures.
- Prepare specimens for lab testing while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellence skills.
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties.
- Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic training preferred).
- Phlebotomy certification.
- Minimum of 6 months phlebotomy experience (1+ years preferred).
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience required.

7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
