Job Summary
As a Phlebotomist at our facility, you will be an integral part of our Laboratory team. We are a highly functioning team that supports many different departments and has a passion for providing the best patient care through compassionate, professional interactions and reliable testing.
Qualifications
- Previous health care experience required
- Laboratory experience and knowledge of aseptic methods and basic medical terminology preferred
- Good communication skills
- Analytical skills necessary to select best site for obtaining blood and bacteriological specimens based on physicians' orders
- Does not pose a direct threat or risk to the safety and health of themselves and other employees
- Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification
- Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience or completion of a phlebotomy training program
- Excellent communication/people skills and problem solving skills
- Computer skills and filing/clerical skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification. This is required within 30 days of hire
- Valid driver’s license
