Phlebotomist

About the Role

Labcorp, a global leader in laboratory services, is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at 11271 State Route 762, Orient, OH. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for performing blood collections, providing superior customer service, and contributing to our mission of improving health and lives.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm, rotating Saturdays 8:00am - 12:00pm

Pay

$17.75 - $25.92 per hour, based on skills, experience, and internal equity. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
