Phlebotomist

Under the general direction of the Associate Client Services Manager and Phlebotomy Supervisor, the Phlebotomist plays a vital role in collecting high-quality blood specimens and ensuring accurate laboratory processing.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary collections for patients (pediatric through adult)
• Accurately process and enter specimen requisitions into the laboratory computer system
• Accurately register patients and enter orders into the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
• Ensure proper labeling, handling, and transport of specimens
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care during all interactions
• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and confidentiality standards
• Adapt to changing priorities and support coverage at multiple locations as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Training Program preferred
• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience strongly preferred
• Experience working with both pediatric and adult patients preferred
• Phlebotomy certification preferred
