Philippines-Trainer of Elders and Leaders

About the role

To equip and train national church elders and leaders in sound doctrine and pastoral care, ensuring long-term sustainability and spiritual growth of churches.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with indigenous leaders and provide theological training and mentoring to ensure that local churches are led well by biblically qualified elders.
• The goal is to ensure the churches are self-governing, self-multiplying, and rooted in scripture.
• This position is on a team with an established church planting network with opportunities to contribute to a growing catalog of teachings and trainings.
• The current training of local leaders is across the social-economic spectrum, including both urban professionals and informal settlers.

Requirements

• A love for Christ and the church
• Theological training
• Strong teaching and mentoring skills
• Knowledge of church governance and pastoral care
• Pastor/Elder Experience
• Ability to develop leadership in cross-cultural settings
• Patience and humility
• A theology of suffering and endurance

Qualifications

• Training elders in biblical doctrine and pastoral care
• Congducting leadership development workshops
• Developing discipleship and leadership curricula
• Suporting church governance structures
• Ensuring theological fidelity in church practices
