Student Group Elder/Leader-Taiwan

About the role

We are looking for a mature couple(s) who have raised a family to be aunties and uncles to young 20 somethings in rural areas of Taiwan. These students face many family issues and need guidance and support.

Responsibilities

• Living among the unreached people group, learning their language and culture
• Teaching the Bible in formal and informal settings
• Evangelizing and discipling the people
• Identifying and equipping native leaders to evangelize their own people
• Counseling and encouraging local church leaders
• Developing current and future church leaders with Biblical and practical leadership skills

Requirements

• Spiritually mature and knowledgeable
• Already fluent in Mandarin and/or Taiwanese
• Experience in leading Bible studies and discipleship/mentoring
• Experience working with young people and those from working-class backgrounds

Qualifications

• Willingness to live and work in rural Taiwan
• Strong faith and commitment to Jesus Christ
• Ability to adapt to new cultures and languages
• Passion for reaching out to unreached people groups

Skills

• Bible study and teaching skills
• Discipleship and mentoring abilities
• Language proficiency (Mandarin and/or Taiwanese)
• Teamwork and collaboration skills
