POSITION PURPOSE
The Philanthropy Coordinator works under the supervision of the Director of Philanthropy and closely with members of the Philanthropy team to execute and manage a comprehensive fundraising operation for Save the Family. Activities include managing Save the Family’s donor database, overseeing volunteer activities, coordinating fundraising events, and cultivating and stewarding community partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enter and maintain records in fundraising database, including entry of gift, contact, and meeting information.
- Monitor and record 3rd party gifts.
- Generate timely acknowledgments and donor pledge correspondence.
- Conduct prospective donor research.
- Report gifts for deposit; charge and process credit card donations; and, monthly with the Development Manager and Finance staff, reconcile all donations.
- Fulfill the administrative duties of the development dept., including the completion and submission of requisition forms for all department purchases.
- Conduct periodic clean-up of database, running address corrections, de-duping accounts.
- Aid in the production of development materials and special projects including donor informational packets and mailings.
- Serve as the support staff of annual Gala; activities include, creating marketing materials and registration webpage, obtaining auction items, and facilitating all logistical activities and volunteer relationships.
- Assist in the planning, production, and follow-up of special functions including back to school, holiday drives, donor gatherings, ceremonies, and community-wide events.
- Represent Save the Family to individuals, corporations as well as various faith-based, community, and related organizations.
- Cookordinate any funding opportunities with other appropriate staff, as needed.
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ATTRIBUTES
- Ability to multi-task effectively, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize tasks with little supervision
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and Adobe
- Comfortable utilizing social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn
- Experience adhering to a strict confidentiality policy
- Must be able to work outside a standard M-F/8am-5pm workweek
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (preferred) or equivalent experience required
- A valid Arizona driver’s license, reliable transportation, current auto insurance, and clean driving record are required
- Be 21 years of age or older for liability insurance requirements
- Hold a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card OR qualify for an Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Drug test required
- Experience with a constituent resource management (CRM) donor database, Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge, required
