Philanthropy Coordinator
About the role
Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is a nationally ranked academic, quaternary care system based in Chicago's western suburbs. With its main campus at Loyola University Medical Center, Loyola Medicine is part of a comprehensive three-hospital system including Loyola University Medical Center, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, and MacNeal Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Provides centralized support for the IL/IN Regional Office of Philanthropy, working closely with internal teams, leadership, and external stakeholders to support fundraising initiatives and operations.
- Owes the gift entry and donor acknowledgement process, documenting and supporting fundraising initiatives and activities, maintaining accurate donor records, and creating lists and reports.
- Manages and maintains donor records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality within the CRM system (Blackbaud).
- Oversees the full gift entry process, including deposits, batch uploads, and timely donor acknowledgements.
- Serves as a power user of Blackbaud CRM by owning the gift entry and donor acknowledgement process.
- Supports fundraising initiatives by documenting donor interactions, prospect plans, and campaign activities.
- Coordinates meetings, calendars, and events, including scheduling, logistics, materials preparation, and follow-ups.
- Drafts and prepares written communications such as presentations, correspondence, and donor materials.
- Affords assistance with planning and execution of donor cultivation, stewardship, and recognition activities.
- Provides reporting support by generating donor lists, performance reports, and fundraising analytics.
- Manages department communications, including phone and inbox inquiries, ensuring timely and professional responses.
- Performs office management tasks such as supply ordering, expense tracking, reimbursements, and operational support.
- Represents the Office of Philanthropy at events, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Handles sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of job-related experience.
- Experience working with relational databases and data entry systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare and/or fundraising experience.
- Experience with Blackbaud CRM or Raiser's Edge.

Pay Range: $$21.02 - $32.59 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
