About the Role
The Philanthropic Advisor works in close collaboration with Foundation team members to secure financial support for mission-driven programs and projects. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of fundraising strategies, and a self-driven, results-oriented mindset to achieve fundraising goals and drive measurable impact.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, communications, marketing, or a related field (required)
- Three (3) years of non-profit fundraising experience soliciting gifts from individuals (required)
- Demonstrated non-profit development experience with working knowledge of how all aspects of philanthropy interrelate for the benefit of the donor and the organization (required)
- Proficient using donor management software, CRM systems, preferably Raisers Edge/NXT and other relevant technologies (required)
- Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) (preferred)
- Professional education coursework completed in the development field (preferred)
- Healthcare sector and physician engagement experience and a working knowledge of the region (preferred)
- Experience in planned giving with a proven ability to cultivate and secure legacy gifts as part of a comprehensive fundraising strategy (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to identify, cultivate, and solicit prospective donors to build authentic relationships and foster long-term engagement.
- Manage a portfolio of giving relationships, in all stages of development, produce quarterly and annual moves management plans, progress reports, and advancement toward fundraising and relationship-building metrics following established KPIs.
- Produce professional and well-written correspondence, proposals, and present an articulate and compelling case for support, including stewardship impact reports and donor communications.
- Maintain a record of accountability, accuracy, and documentation in action reports in the CRM (Raisers Edge/NXT), gift agreements, proposals, and gift recording.
- Engage physicians and health system team members as contributors and grateful patient referral sources, and build trusting relationships with senior residents and volunteers at health system locations.
- Implement stewardship tactics in collaboration with Foundation team members.
- Support a diverse range of philanthropic initiatives to achieve annual, major, event, and campaign goals.

Schedule
This role requires regular and sustained attendance. The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts. On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.
