About the role
This project aims to explore how the cardiotropic virus Coxsackievirus B3 (CVB3) modifies the epitranscriptomic landscape of human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes, influencing infection outcomes and cardiac remodeling in viral myocarditis. It also investigates CVB3 genome RNA modifications and their impact on viral replication and spread.
Responsibilities
- Investigate CVB3-induced changes in the epitranscriptome of cardiomyocytes
- Analyze CVB3 genome RNA modifications using Nanopore direct RNA sequencing
- Develop and apply advanced molecular biology techniques
- Collaborate with experts in RNA biology and computational cardiology
- Contribute to the understanding of RNA modification-driven processes in infectious and cardiac pathologies
- Advance the development of RNA-based diagnostics and therapeutic strategies for myocarditis
Requirements
- Master’s degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, virology, or a related field
- Strong background in standard molecular biology techniques
- Passion for RNA biology and synthetic/translational RNA applications
- Highly organized and reliable with strong initiative
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively

- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Interest in developing into an independent scientist
