Pharmacy Technician Trainee

About the role

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician Trainee to join a collaborative team focused on delivering safe, accurate, and efficient patient care. You will help build a service-oriented pharmacy environment by developing strong patient relationships and supporting department operations.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients with compassion and a smile at all entry points.
• Providing excellent patient care by processing orders, directing questions to the pharmacist, and assisting with over-the-counter products.
• Maintaining a clean, organized work environment to meet regulatory standards.
• Supporting team tasks for efficient department functioning.
• Using pharmacy computer systems to manage prescriptions, inventory, and customer interactions.
• Assisting with initiatives to improve service outcomes and supporting company programs.
• Completing required training and complying with all policies, including HIPAA and drug sales regulations.
• Finalizing sales, accurately transcribing prescription data, and maintaining inventory levels.
• Answering phones professionally, resolving customer inquiries, and filing prescriptions daily.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Eligible for pharmacy technician registration.
• 0-6 months of experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• At least 18 years old.
