Pharmacy Technician Trainee

Job Title: Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing pharmacy operations and ensuring the effective processing of insurance claims. Your role will involve direct communication with patients, insurance providers, and healthcare professionals to facilitate seamless service delivery. Responsibilities Recognize and effectively communicate about different insurance types and determine their appropriate use.Enter all communication and documentation into the Biologics MIS system.Assist with projects, such as the yearly reverification process.Communicate with patients to collect necessary insurance information.Triage prescriptions to preferred pharmacies or HUB providers when Biologics cannot serve the patient.Process pharmacy claims accurately in the Biologics MIS system.Interpret and understand pharmacy claim responses.Manage inbound calls from patients, clients, physicians, and payors regarding patient updates and services.Identify and report adverse events and product complaints to clinicians.Handle internal written communications and requests received via chat or email.Perform other related duties as assigned. Essential Skills Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT is a plus).1+ years of related experience.Customer service skills.Experience with prior authorizations.Data entry proficiency.Ability to recognize and communicate insurance types effectively. Additional Skills & Qualifications Minimum of an associate degree or equivalent experience with 3+ years of related experience.Experience in a retail pharmacy or call center environment. Work Environment This is an onsite position located in Cary, NC. You will work in an office environment with no direct patient contact. The work schedule is Monday to Friday with shifts ranging from 9am-6pm, 10am-7pm, to 11am-8pm EST. The workplace is closed on major holidays and weekends, providing a balanced work-life experience. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
