Pharmacy Technician Supervisor | Inpatient Pharmacy

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a role model and subject matter expert for pharmacy staff
  • Collaborate with scheduled pharmacy caregivers to ensure all operational tasks are completed each shift
  • Address staffing concerns related to call-outs and coverage gaps, providing direct operational support as needed
  • Support staff development and performance improvement through coaching, mentoring, and the positive discipline process when appropriate
  • Orient, train, and complete competency checklists for new caregivers in assigned locations

Required Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent education
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, teamwork, and customer service excellence

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business, or a related field
  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience

Physical Demands

  • Standing and walking up to 8 miles a day with intermittent sitting
  • Occasional extended periods at computer terminal
  • Requires manual dexterity, the ability to push or pull a fully weighted cart of 250 lbs. which is no more than 15 lbs. and lift up to 50 lbs.
