Inpatient Pharmacy Technician Supervisor

About the role

Schedule and assign daily work assignments for pharmacy technicians and may perform the duties of a pharmacy technician.
Oversee process improvement activities.
Act as liaison between department, other hospital departments, physicians and external customers in matters relating to pharmacy operations.
Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure that procedures and policies comply with organizational, federal, state and Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations.
Conduct hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.

Requirements

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Indiana Board Of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Qualifications

• One or more of the following required:
• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
