Pharmacy Technician Supervisor - Inpatient

About the role

Our Inpatient Pharmacy team delivers comprehensive and high-quality medication distribution services across the hospital. We manage all aspects of inpatient drug delivery - including unit dose dispensing, IV admixture preparation, and specialized systems for controlled substances and investigational drugs.

We leverage advanced automation and robotic dispensing technology to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and patient safety in every step of the process.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Pharmacy Technicians.
• Ensure quality and productivity standards are achieved.
• Participate in hiring and performance management activities.
• Oversee staff training and scheduling.
• Maintain area equipment and monitor operational functions.
• Collaborate with other departments to assess and address service needs.
• Perform technical functions related to the dispensing and delivery of medications and equipment.
• Develop, document, implement, and maintain departmental policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Required: An Associate's Degree or certificate from an accredited Pharmacy technician training program.
• Required: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, at least 2 years in a lead, supervisory, or project management role.
• Preferred: Experience training pharmacy staff, leadership experience, people management experience.

Qualifications

• Licensure / Certification: Current Pharmacy Technician Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP).
• Licensure / Certification: Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) certification.
• Licensure / Certification: ACPE-Approved IV (Sterile Products) Certification.
• Licensure / Certification: Certified Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician (CSPT), when applicable.

Pay

Minimum Salary: US Dollar (USD) 67,000
Midpoint Salary: US Dollar (USD) 83,500
Maximum Salary: US Dollar (USD) 100,000

Working Hours: 7am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday
