Pharmacy Technician Refill Calls

Join our Shields team today! Shields Health Solutions is redefining patient care through specialty pharmacy. We’re hiring a Pharmacy Refill Technician to support the pharmacy team by ensuring accurate, timely filling and delivery of specialty medications. This role includes assisting patients through the refill process, handling both outbound and inbound calls, and helping maintain efficient pharmacy operations.

Schedule

Schedule: Onsite Monday - Friday, 9:30AM - 6:00PM CST.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, knowledgeable assistance to patients, providers, and staff.
• Make outbound refill calls and process requests promptly.
• Answer and triage incoming pharmacy calls.
• Clarify prescription orders with pharmacists or clinicians.
• Coordinate medication refills and complete accurate data entry.
• Assist with claim adjudication and troubleshoot rejected claims.

Requirements

• Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License and National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required.
• State‑registered (Texas) Pharmacy Technician.
• 2+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong communication, organization, and technical skills.
• Empathy, integrity, and a team‑first mindset.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for communication, documentation, and data management, as well as navigating the internet and web‑based platforms.
• Data entry and computer skills will be evaluated through an assessment as part of the pre‑employment process.
