Pharmacy Technician, PRN, Baptist Downtown

About the role

Baptist Health is a locally governed, faith-based, not-for-profit health system in Northeast Florida. They provide comprehensive care through multiple locations and six hospitals, including Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, Baptist Heart Hospital, Baptist Neurological Institute, and Wolfson Children's Hospital. Baptist Health is currently seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician for their PRN position at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville.

Responsibilities

• Deliver medications to patient floors
• Stock the Omnicell dispensing cabinet
• Assist with duties within the central pharmacy
• Prepare and distribute medications under the supervision of a registered pharmacist
• Maintain the drug inventory
• Maintain patient records

Requirements

• A Pharmacy technician license in the state of Florida is required
• Less than 1 year of technician experience
• A high school diploma is required
• A Registered Pharmacy Tech (RPT) with Florida Board of Pharmacy certification is required
• A Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPT) certification is preferred

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Registered Pharmacy Tech (RPT) with Florida Board of Pharmacy
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPT) preferred

Skills

• Experience in a clinical setting
• Ability to work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist
