Pharmacy Technician, IV Admix, Various Shifts, Baptist Downtown

About the role

Baptist Health is a locally governed, faith-based, not-for-profit health system in Jacksonville, Florida. It provides comprehensive care through multiple locations and six hospitals, including Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, Baptist Heart Hospital, Baptist Neurological Institute, and Wolfson Children's Hospital. Baptist Health is currently seeking an IV Admix Pharmacy Technician to join their team at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Pharmacist on duty in preparing and distributing medications.
• Filling of automated dispensing cabinets and unit-dose medication orders and envelopes.
• Basic reconstitution of oral suspensions.
• Maintaining drug inventory and packaging of medications.
• Maintaining compliance with USP 797 standards in their daily duties for compounding IV admixture and TPN preparation.
• Working under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.

Requirements

• Licensed within the State of Florida.
• 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Possess a PTCB certification, though not required.
• Comfortable wearing full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) throughout most of the shift.
• Ability to work in a team environment and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Registered Pharmacy Tech (RPT) with Florida Board of Pharmacy.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPT) preferred.

Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Schedule

This is a full-time, day-shift opportunity working four, 10-hour shifts, primarily working 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM, or 12:30 PM - 11:00 PM and required to work every other weekend.
