Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem - Honickman Center

About the role

Reporting to the Oncology Pharmacy Supervisor, and under the general direction of Department Director and in conjunction with direct supervision by Oncology pharmacists.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation and filling of all medications necessary for oncology service line for inpatient and outpatient services.
• Supports all department initiatives and daily workflow.
• Maintains oncology satellite and all patients.

Requirements

• High school diploma, graduate of an accredited technician training program or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician Certification required.
• State Board Pharmacy Technician Licensure preferred.

Skills

• Participates in the medication distribution system within TJUH.
• Prepares parenteral products using aseptic technique.
• Ensures the provision of quality pharmacy services.
• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.
