About the role

PCHC is seeking Per Diem Pharmacy Technicians to join their dynamic, mission-driven pharmacy team. This flexible role offers the chance to deepen your experience, stay connected to the work you love, and make a meaningful impact in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers exceptional, patient-centered service with empathy, respect, and clear communication.
  • Supports pharmacists in preparing, organizing, and accurately dispensing medications.
  • Manages inventory by anticipating needs, placing orders, and ensuring efficient stock rotation.
  • Performs pharmacy cashier duties, including collecting and reconciling payments.
  • Helps maintain compliance with safety and quality assurance standards.
  • Fosters a welcoming and supportive environment where patients feel heard and valued.
  • Collaborates with pharmacy and clinical teams to enhance the patient experience and streamline workflows.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Recent experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
  • Ability to become licensed with the Maine State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician.
  • A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and/or an appropriate length of driving experience for insurance purposes is required.

Schedule

  • Per-Diem, Flexible Schedule (Pharmacy is typically open Monday-Friday 8am-6pm and Saturday 9am-1pm.)

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Recent experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
  • Ability to become licensed with the Maine State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician.
  • A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and/or an appropriate length of driving experience for insurance purposes is required.
