Pharmacy Technician, PACE

About the role

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will assist PACE Clinical Pharmacists at assigned PACE locations to support the delivery of safe, effective medication therapy to PACE program participants. You will directly support Medication Management Therapy interactions carried out by the PACE Clinical Pharmacists, have direct patient contact to facilitate clinical pharmacy appointments, medication reconciliations, pill box refills, patient follow-up, and perform clerical duties to enhance the efficiency of the PACE clinical pharmacists.

Responsibilities

• Assist PACE Clinical Pharmacists in delivering safe and effective medication therapy.
• Support Medication Management Therapy interactions.
• Facilitate clinical pharmacy appointments and medication reconciliations.
• Refill pill boxes and conduct patient follow-ups.
• Perform clerical duties to support the efficiency of clinical pharmacists.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Active Pharmacy Technician Certification through the California State Board of Pharmacy is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with senior populations (preferred).
• Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred).
• Valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Pay

$25.00 - $29.32 hourly. Actual salary offers consider various factors, including budget, experience, skills, education, licensure, and certifications. This role may also qualify for discretionary bonuses or incentives.
