Position Summary

The Pharmacy Technician assists in manipulative and non-discretionary functions of the practice of pharmacy, applying organizational skills and attention to detail for successful daily work operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ordering of supplies from wholesaler and direct accounts, and verify items received against invoices
• Store items received and assist in maintaining stock levels, including dating and initialing invoices and/or packing slips upon receipt
• Enter customer's medication and billing information into computer system
• Answer and screen telephone calls and forward as needed
• Perform extemporaneous compounding under pharmacist supervision

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by the Washington State Department of Health
• Successful completion of National Pharmacy Technician Certification Program (preferred)
• Retail pharmacy experience (retail only)
