Pharmacy Technician / Mid-Shift

About the role

PharMerica is hiring full-time Pharmacy Technicians in Vancouver, WA to join our closed-door, non-retail pharmacy team supporting long-term care and senior living communities. This role serves as a key point of customer service for incoming calls, supporting healthcare facilities, nurses, and internal teams. It is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about delivering excellent service while ensuring accuracy in pharmacy operations. You'll play an important part in ensuring accurate and efficient medication order triage and data entry, helping our pharmacy operations run smoothly while supporting patient care.

Responsibilities

• Enter and verify medication orders in a computerized system with a high level of accuracy and efficiency
• Conduct basic drug calculations, including dosage and conversion tasks
• Investigate and resolve pharmacy claim denials; perform follow-up actions in POS systems
• Stay current with Medicaid claim regulations and ensure compliance in processing
• Track unpaid or delayed claims; generate reports for management
• Provide excellent customer service in line with company values and policies
• Assist with medication preparation and dispensing under Pharmacist supervision
• Support additional pharmacy tasks and operations as directed by management

Requirements

• Washington Pharmacy Technician License – REQUIRED
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology
• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications
• Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication
• PTCB Certification – New hires have 6 months to obtain their PTCB certification; coaching and development provided

Qualifications

• Long Term Care pharmacy experience (desired)

• Sunday – Thursday: 10:00am – 9:00pm
• Tuesday – Saturday: 10:00am – 9:00pm
• Tuesday – Saturday: 10:30am – 7:00pm
• Wednesday – Saturday: 10:30am – 9:00pm
• Sunday – Wednesday: 10:30am – 9:00pm
• Tuesday – Saturday: 12:30pm – 9:00pm
• Training Schedule: Monday – Friday: 9:30am – 6:00pm
