Pharmacy Technician (Part Time, Day Shift)

About the Role

Performs packaging, manipulative, repetitive, or other nondiscretionary tasks related to the furnishing of drugs while assisting and under the direct supervision and control of a pharmacist. Fills and delivers unit dose cassettes from patient profiles to nursing units.

Responsibilities

• Pulls medications from stock and matches them with corresponding labels generated by the pharmacist in an accurate manner.
• Maintains floor stock (restocking, removal of expired medications, rotate stock) of nursing areas and other medication areas.
• Prices and stocks incoming deliveries.
• Prepares IV medication products within the guidelines of applicable laws and regulations.
• Checks in orders from wholesalers and suppliers, distributes stock appropriately, and files paperwork; processes returns and back orders in a timely manner.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
• State Pharmacy Technician license: Required in state of practice (CA or OR)
• Pharmaceutical Technician Board certification: Preferred in CA and OR
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification: Required

Pay

The estimated base pay for this position is $26.66 to $34.27 per hour. Additional individual compensation may be available through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
