Pharmacy Technician / Order Entry / Mid-Shift
About the role
PharMerica is hiring full-time Order Entry Pharmacy Technicians in Phoenix, AZ. Join a team that supports long-term care and senior living communities, making a meaningful impact on patient care.
Responsibilities
- Accurately enter and process medication orders
- Conduct basic drug calculations and resolve pharmacy claim denials
- Stay current with Medicaid claim regulations and ensure compliance
- Track unpaid or delayed claims and generate reports
- Provide excellent customer service
- Assist with medication preparation and dispensing under Pharmacist supervision
- Support additional pharmacy tasks and operations as directed
Requirements
- AZ Pharmacy Technician/Trainee License – REQUIRED
- PTCB Certification
- New hires have 6 months to obtain their PTCB certification, and we'll provide coaching and development
- Work Location: 8826 N 23rd Ave, Suite C-3, Phoenix, AZ 85021
- Schedules: Monday - Friday 10:30am - 7:00pm with alternating weekends
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Pharmacy Technician license as required by state
- Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology
- Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications
- Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication
- Long Term Care pharmacy experience preferred
