Pharmacy Technician Advocate
About the role
Managing all pharmaceutical inventory, including the precise receipt, storage, and organization of incoming supplies, as well as preparing and fulfilling medication orders for the department.
Executing the meticulous preparation of both sterile and non-sterile compounds, and accurately repackaging bulk medications, while adhering to the highest quality and safety standards.
Serving as the vital communication bridge between the pharmacy, our patients, and other health professionals. Efficiently triaging all incoming calls and providing crucial, accurate information to ensure coordinated and exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory
- Prepare and fulfill medication orders
- Prepares and repackages sterile and non-sterile compounds
- Communicate with pharmacy, patients, and other health professionals
- Triage and provide accurate information to patients
Requirements
- Licensure / Certification / Registration: PTCB or Registered Pharmacy Tech credential from the Florida Board of Pharmacy
- Education: High school diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, or Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
