About the role

Assist the Pharmacist and carry out authorized technical functions on a daily routine of the Pharmacy department involving the packaging, procurement, and distribution of all drugs guaranteeing quality patient care.

• Carry out authorized technical functions on a daily routine of the Pharmacy department
• Package, procure, and distribute all drugs
• Ensure quality patient care

Requirements

• Current registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee
• Register for the certified pharmacy technician exam within 6 months from the start of employment
• Obtain Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy within 12 months of hire

Qualifications

• Education: Current registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee
• Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy within 12 months of hire

Job Knowledge

• Strong multi-tasking, basic computer skills, good customer service and communication skills needed
• Ability to prioritize work to meet customer needs
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations to perform accurate dosing
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time
