Pharmacy Tech

About the role

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, provides pharmacy care services for behavioral health and addiction treatment communities. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy, dispensing prescriptions and performing clerical duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
• Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist
• Order, receive and store incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receive and process wholesaler medication orders
• Verify medication stock and enter data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Work with the Pharmacist to assist in pharmacy functions and keep the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Perform various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicate with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Ability to make deliveries to post office or bank once a week

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of North Carolina
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• 1+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience
• Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Tech savvy
• Bilingual (Spanish/English)
• Immunization certified
• Retail, long-term care, or specialty pharmacy technician experience

Pay

The hourly pay for this role ranges from $16 to $29 per hour, based on full-time employment and factors such as local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (Lunch 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm)
