Pharmacy Refill Specialist

Harbor Health is seeking a Pharmacy Refill Specialist to join their remote team in Austin, TX. This position is part of a modern healthcare group that aims to co-create health with patients, providers, and payors. The Pharmacy Refill Specialist works alongside the pharmacy and clinical teams to monitor and improve medication adherence.

Position Duties & Responsibilities

• Interview members and/or family members to obtain and document information about newly prescribed medications, adherence to regimens, and any reported side effects or barriers to adherence
• Triage medication information gathered from members and relay to appropriate clinical staff
• Collaborate with the Pharmacy Director and IT staff to develop workflows and improve data gathering efficiency
• Develop and refine workflows to enhance clinic system efficiency
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Required

• Licensed Certified Pharmacy Technician, credentialed with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
• Minimum 5 years of retail or hospital experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Positive and effective communication skills with members and caregivers
• Teamwork and independent work capabilities
• Flexibility to shift priorities and maintain confidentiality

Preferred

• Medication reconciliation experience
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or similar software
• Experience with patient financial assistance programs and patient advocacy
• Bilingual in English/Spanish

Physical Requirements

May require travel between clinic sites
