About the role

The Pharmacy Purchaser maintains an appropriate supply of drugs and pharmaceuticals for John Muir Health System. The role involves handling ordering, invoicing, billing, and tracking of pharmaceuticals and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Handles ordering, invoicing, billing, and tracking of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
• Captures pharmaceutical cost containment programs such as SEARCH.
• Maintains accurate contract pricing through programs like Vizient.
• Manages government drug pricing programs like 340B.

Requirements

• Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent Required or Equivalent Experience
• 2 years of College - Preferred
• Completion of Pharmacy Technician Program - Preferred
• College Mathematics - Preferred
• Coursework in General Science - Preferred
• Experience: 5 years Pharmacy - Inpatient Pharmacy Technician - Preferred
• 5 years Pharmacy - Pharmacy Purchasing, 340B program experience - Preferred

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Tech - California Board of Pharmacy - Required
• CPhT Pharmacy Technician - PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification Board - Required

Pay

Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.

Schedule

The work shift is 08:00 - 17:00 (United States of America).
