About the role
As a Pharmacy Manager at CVS Health, you will lead and develop a pharmacy team that provides exceptional patient care. You will also support novel program awareness, onboard newly hired pharmacy team members, and recognize colleagues for their success.
Responsibilities
- Manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
- Oversee the pharmacy team during bench shifts, enhancing pharmacy performance measures through effective coaching and consistent follow-up
- Ensure prescription fulfillment adheres to workflow procedures and safety guidelines
- Show empathy and coach the pharmacy team to deliver compassionate care, collaborate with the patient's healthcare team, and resolve insurance and medication issues
- Immunize patients and support Pharmacy Technicians in learning to immunize
- Manage pharmacy inventory according to best practices, focusing on cold chain product protection
- Onboard new technicians and pharmacists, ensuring timely completion of required training and/or licensure
- Maintain compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations and escalate issues as necessary
- Build a healthy talent pipeline and ensure cross-trained colleagues are on track for licensure
- Manage performance of Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists, delivering annual performance reviews and closing gaps
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic, maintaining psychological safety and open communication
- Stay updated on clinical and technical skills to support patient safety and privacy
- Provide pharmacist-delivered clinical care such as testing and prescribing services, empowering the pharmacy team to offer holistic care
- Understand and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical principles
Requirements
- Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
- Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacist
- Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
- Lift, scan, and bag items
- Reach overhead; stretch or reach out with the body, arms, and/or legs to grasp items
- Extend hand(s) and arm(s) multiple directions to place, move, or lift items
- Control precision; quickly adjust machines to exact positions
- Stoop to a considerable degree, requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles to move items between low and high positions
- Express or exchange ideas by means of spoken word where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed accurately
- Have the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication
- Lead by example and set a positive tone for the team
- Delegate tasks, empower team members, and foster a collaborative work environment
- Apply problem-solving skills to address challenges and find innovative solutions
- Adaptability and accountability to navigate changing circumstances and take ownership
- Coach, reinforce, encourage, provide feedback to, discipline, and/or terminate pharmacy team members

Pay
The typical pay range for this role is $65.00 - $85.00 per hour or $134,000 - $179,000 annually. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
