Pharmacy Manager
The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) role is a development-focused position designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager role. Over 16 weeks, you’ll participate in a self-paced, collaborative training program combining virtual and hands-on learning experiences. Your growth will be supported by a District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and Store Manager coach.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively—verbally and in writing—to support and lead your team.
- Perform customer care duties to ensure high levels of service.
- Execute merchandising strategies to drive store sales growth.
- Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability.
- Actively engage in Key Learning Experiences to progress toward promotion during the program.
- Lead as a management team member while upholding CVS values and policies.
- Engage colleagues in support of CVS Health’s purpose: "helping people on their path to better health."
- Be open to accepting promotion roles within your designated market.
Requirements
- Willingness to accept a promotion to Store Manager at any location within the designated market.
- Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores in the designated market.
- Flexibility to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs.
- High School diploma or GED (required).
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or relevant retail management experience (e.g., CVS Supervisor).
Selection for the SMIT position does not guarantee promotion to Store Manager. Promotion depends on performance, availability of openings, and other factors.
Pay
The typical pay range for this role is $65.00 – $85.00 per hour. The actual base salary offer will depend on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position is also eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay.
